Smart Kids Get Help From Boston Celtics Star

Smart kids eat healthySmart kids don't eat junk food! It's simply not good for their brain.

Not good for learning. Not good for test scores.

I know you know that. And you know that I know that getting smart kids to stop grabbing a pop-tart for breakfast and munching chips after school is hard.

Now Smart Parents have help from Paul Pierce, the Boston Celtics star. Seems he was a chubby kid who lived across the street from a Hostess Cupcake factory.

Now he's eating healthy and playing pro-ball.

Paul's started an online fitness club for kids 10-14. They sign up at http://www.paulpierce.net/community/fitclub34 Kids have to agree to exercise an hour a day and eat carrots instead of chips. The members only section includes free stuff, chatting live with Paul, and prizes.

Unfortunately, the website is dark and hard to read. Younger kids may need a bit of help with it. But if you've got a kid who's into basketball and follows pro ball, this could be just the healthy food and fitness incentive you've been looking for.

And the site includes extra goodies that only work if you live in the Boston area but it's still worth joining.

Let me know if your kids have fun with Paul's club and if it's working. Or give my readers your suggestion for getting kids to eat healthy and exercise.
